1. General betting requirements
CasinoJax provides betting services subject to applicable laws, these Betting Rules and any additional rules displayed for a particular product, event, game or market. Rules may differ between sports betting, racing, casino games, live betting and other available services. You are responsible for reading the information shown before confirming a wager.
You must be at least 18 years of age and must only use the service from a location where online gambling is lawful. Age, identity, location and account checks may be carried out before or after an account is opened. You must provide information that is complete, accurate and current, and must update it if circumstances change.
An account is intended for the person whose details were used to register it. You must not allow another person to use your account, place bets on your behalf without permission, or attempt to access another person’s account. You are responsible for keeping your login information private and for notifying CasinoJax if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
- Only one personal betting account should be maintained unless CasinoJax has expressly approved another arrangement.
- Account information must not be misleading, false or provided for the benefit of another person.
- You must not use the service for unlawful activity, fraud, money laundering or any other prohibited purpose.
- You must comply with any location, identity, payment or verification requirements that apply to your account.
- CasinoJax may suspend, restrict or close an account where this is reasonably necessary for security, legal, regulatory or operational reasons.
Some products may not be available in every Australian state or territory, or may be subject to additional restrictions. It is your responsibility to check whether you are permitted to use a particular service from your location. The use of tools intended to disguise or alter your location may result in a bet being refused, an account being restricted or other action under the applicable terms.
2. Placing bets and receiving odds
A bet is created when you select a market, choose an outcome, enter a stake and confirm the wager through the betting interface. A selection placed in a bet slip is not necessarily a completed wager. The bet is only accepted when the confirmation is displayed or otherwise recorded by CasinoJax systems.
Before confirming a wager, check the event, market, selection, odds, stake, potential return and any other information shown on the confirmation screen. You are responsible for checking that the details are correct. Once accepted, a bet generally cannot be amended, cancelled or withdrawn unless a specific rule or applicable law allows it.
Odds may be displayed in a format selected by the website or available in the relevant betting interface. Odds can change before a bet is accepted. Where the price changes while a bet is being prepared, you may be asked to accept the new price before the wager is submitted. A bet is settled using the odds and terms that applied when it was accepted, subject to correction of an obvious error or another applicable rule.
Minimum and maximum stakes, maximum returns, bet types and other restrictions may apply. These conditions can vary by market, account, product or jurisdiction. Any applicable restriction should be displayed before or during the placing process. A bet may be rejected or adjusted if it exceeds a limit, conflicts with a market rule or cannot be accepted for operational or legal reasons.
Bet confirmation and records
You should keep your bet confirmation and review your account history regularly. The account history is normally the best record of accepted wagers, stakes, odds and settlement results. A message, screen display or payment instruction that is incomplete or interrupted does not by itself prove that a bet was accepted. If the status of a wager is unclear, avoid placing the same bet again until the original status has been checked.
- A wager must be submitted through the approved betting interface.
- A bet is not accepted merely because a selection has been added to a bet slip.
- Duplicate bets are the account holder’s responsibility if both wagers are accepted.
- You should not rely on a screenshot alone where the account history shows a different result.
- Any visible error in odds, event information or bet details should be reported promptly.
3. Events, markets and settlement
Each event or market may have specific rules that explain how the wager will be settled. These rules can cover the official source used for results, the meaning of a selection, postponements, abandoned events, venue changes, participant changes, dead heats, ties, non-runners, void outcomes and other circumstances. The market-specific information takes priority where it adds detail to these general rules.
Results are generally determined using information from an official governing body, event organiser, competition authority or another recognised source identified for the relevant market. A result may be amended after the event if the official result is changed under the applicable competition or event rules. Any settlement adjustment will be handled in accordance with the rules that applied to the market.
Postponed, abandoned or interrupted events
If an event is postponed, abandoned, interrupted or moved, the outcome may depend on the market rules and whether the event is completed within the required period. Some bets may remain open, while others may be voided or settled using a specific outcome. A related bet may also be affected if the original event does not proceed as required by the market terms.
Changes to participants and event details
A change to a participant, team, player, rider, venue, format or scheduled time may affect settlement. The effect depends on the relevant market. A selection may remain valid, be treated under a replacement rule or be declared void. You should review the market rules before placing a wager where participant or event changes may be important.
Sports and racing markets
For sports and racing, settlement may be based on the official result at the conclusion of the event, or on another result point stated in the market rules. Later appeals, disciplinary decisions or administrative changes may not always affect settlement. Where a market uses a particular statistic, timing point or official classification, that information will be applied as described in the relevant rules.
Casino and game outcomes
Casino and other games are settled using the result produced by the applicable game system. Game rules may explain winning combinations, paylines, bonus features, rounds, interruptions and the treatment of incomplete play. If a game round is interrupted, the available game record and system data may be used to determine whether the round was completed, cancelled or requires review.
Accidental errors and void bets
If an obvious error affects odds, a market, an event, a selection, a stake or a settlement, CasinoJax may correct the error or declare the affected wager void where permitted. An obvious error may include incorrect event information, an unavailable selection shown as active, or odds that are clearly inconsistent with the market. Where a correction is made, the account history may be updated to show the relevant result.
- Check the individual market rules before confirming a wager.
- Use the official event result and settlement information as the primary reference.
- Allow time for a market to be reviewed where an event has unusual or disputed circumstances.
- Do not assume that a live display, commentary feed or third-party result is the final settlement result.
- Review your account history after settlement and raise any apparent issue as soon as possible.
4. Payments, account balances and prohibited conduct
Funds must be deposited and withdrawn using payment methods that are approved for your account and used in accordance with the relevant payment provider’s terms. You must not use a payment method that belongs to another person without appropriate authorisation. Additional verification may be requested before funds can be withdrawn or an account can be fully used.
Account balances, accepted bets and returns are subject to review. A balance may be adjusted where a transaction is reversed, a payment fails, an obvious error is corrected, a bet is voided or activity is found to breach the applicable terms. CasinoJax may delay account activity while identity, payment, security or compliance checks are completed.
You must not interfere with the website, betting platform, game software or security controls. This includes using automated tools, exploiting a fault, manipulating a connection, attempting unauthorised access, submitting false information or coordinating activity to obtain an improper advantage. Suspicious or prohibited activity may result in bets being withheld for review and an account being restricted or closed.
Where a transaction or betting activity appears unusual, further information may be required. Information may be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable legal obligations. CasinoJax may be unable to disclose every detail of a security, fraud or compliance review where doing so could compromise the review or conflict with a legal requirement.
Responsible betting
Betting should be treated as entertainment, not as a way to earn income or recover financial losses. Set a budget before you play and do not wager money needed for everyday expenses. Never chase losses, borrow money to bet, or continue playing when you feel distressed, pressured or unable to stay within your limits.
- Set personal spending and time limits before betting.
- Take regular breaks and keep betting separate from essential household spending.
- Do not bet when affected by alcohol, drugs, stress or strong emotions.
- Use available account controls or exclusion options if you need help managing your play.
- Seek independent support if gambling is causing financial, personal or emotional problems.
5. Technical issues, complaints and rule changes
Internet connections, mobile devices, payment services, software and other systems may occasionally fail or operate slowly. CasinoJax is not responsible for a wager that was not received or accepted because of a communication failure, device problem or other technical interruption. If a disruption occurs during a live event or game, wait for the account history or service status to update before attempting to place the same wager again.
If you believe a bet has been recorded incorrectly, a result has been settled incorrectly, or an account transaction is missing, review the available bet and payment records and raise the issue through the support process made available on the website. Include the relevant account information, bet reference where available, event or game details, date, time and a clear description of the concern. Do not include passwords or sensitive payment information in a complaint.
Complaints are reviewed using the account records, transaction data, market rules, game information and other relevant evidence. A correction may be made if an error is identified. Where a matter cannot be resolved through the initial review, further review or an external process may be available under the applicable terms and legal framework.
These Betting Rules may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to products, technology, legal requirements or operational procedures. The version published on the website will apply from the stated effective date. Changes will not alter a wager retrospectively unless required to correct an error, comply with law or apply a specific rule to an unsettled market.
If there is a conflict between these general Betting Rules and a specific rule displayed for a market, event, game or promotion, the specific rule will generally apply to that matter. If there is a conflict with the website’s Terms and Conditions or applicable law, the relevant legal or contractual requirement will prevail.
